Objectives

  • To allow each child to learn through FUN and PLAY.
  • Encourage positive social interaction, teach each child about sharing and being part of a group.
  • Respecting themselves and others as well as other cultural backgrounds.
  • Encourage to control emotions and to learn to express them appropriately.
  • To teach about following simple instructions.
  • Develop problem solving skills
  • Encourage language and communication skills.
  • Offer each child the most suitable stimuli for their stage of development.
  • Name the letters of the alphabet and know the phonic sounds of at least the letters of their own name.
  • To help each child with understanding the basic concepts of mathematics, recognising and writing numbers 1-10, be able to counts objects and other concepts including length, weight and volume.
  • To teach children about their five senses and how to use them.
  • To help children recognise and identify shapes, colours and sounds.
  • To help children understand their own bodies.
  • To provide a greater understanding of other parts of the world and different cultures from their own.
  • Gradually encourage each child to develop the skill and co-ordination required to control tools, pencils, scissors and brushes.
  • To encourage children to question the world around them with activities such as cooking, gardening and simple science experiments.
